What is EMS Training?
EMS stands for Electro-Muscular Stimulation. Our EMS device sends a highly-targeted electrical signal to your muscles, causing them to contract. This signal is a much more powerful version of the natural signal sent by your brain to your muscles.
Combined with a ‘free will contraction’ during an exercise, and the external stimulus from the EMS device, you can activate up to 98% of your muscle fibres!

Want a 20 minute workout equivalent to 2 hours in the gym?
An EMS training session lasts just 20 minutes, and is always conducted by one of our qualified trainers, who will monitors your session and success. The effectiveness of EMS has been proved via numerous scientific studies, and one EMS session per week is generally enough to hit your goals.

Who is EMS training for?
EMS training is extremely versatile and low impact, making it a perfect form of fitness for virtually anyone. No longer reserved for the elite, EMS training is now available for everyone to try here at Radcliffe Group in Crewe.

Gym-shy or time-poor?
EMS often appeals to those who don’t like the typical gym environment. Sessions are conducted one-on-one, so the personal aspect is ideal if you find the gym floor or group exercise studios intimidating.
One 20-minute session a week is all that’s required to see results. For that reason, it is also a great option for busy professionals who can’t make time for the gym.

Are you looking to drive the ball further and play golf injury free?
Targeted strength training can make a significant difference to both your golf game, fitness and longevity of your sport.
As golf favours one side of the body this can lead to muscle imbalances and therefore weaknesses and injury over time.
Whole body EMS strength training is the time efficient, effective solution. It strengthens the weaker muscles to prevent injury and targets the specific muscles needed to add distance to your drive.
Using EMS, combined with specific exercises focusing on the muscles you use while playing golf, will build both strength, balance and power.
Benefits of EMS training for all golfers
- Build dynamic strength
- Increase club head speed
- Improve shot accuracy & distance
- Develop core & back stability
- Reduce on-course fatigue
- Time efficient – giving you more time to spend on the course!

After a long layoff due to a back injury, my physio, Mark, recommended EMS sessions as part of my rehab. These sessions were tailored specifically to my golf movement patterns , building strength and stability. This has added power and distance to my game, and is now part of my weekly training routine!

“Since starting EMS training, I’ve noticed my clubhead speed on the Trackman has increased by at least 2–3 mph. With the driver, that makes a huge difference! I’ll definitely be keeping EMS as part of my training routine.”
