Pilates is all about flexibility, mobility & strength

Our Reformer Pilates classes are programmed for a full body workout.

We pride ourselves on being able to cater for all ages and abilities, and our highly skilled instructors are able to adapt any part of a session to ensure you get the perfect workout. For those that have never used the reformer machines before, we’ll show you exactly how they work.

Our 60 minute sessions are unique, compared to most studios which only offer 45 minute classes. This extra time allows us to ensure we incorporate not only all of the elements of the reformer methodology into the session

– centring, control, flow, breath, precision, and concentration – but also allows additional time for that all-important and much-needed mobility work.

The classes will cover movements to promote flexibility, mobility and all-over strength, with a focus on the core and glutes, and provide a challenge here and there when it comes to balance and co-ordination!

Reformer Pilates is excellent for all walks of life – from everyday living to a high-end elite athlete training regime – we have something for everyone at Radcliffe Group!

The SPX Max Reformer by Merrithew is a piece of fitness equipment that resembles a bed, equipped with springs, ropes, pulleys and a sliding carriage. The machine is very dynamic, allowing it to provide a very intense workout, as the springs which create resistance against your own body weight.

Reformer Pilates work focuses on core strength and proper muscle engagement, which improves athletic performance, back pain, injury recovery, weight loss, balance, bone density and posture – to name a few! It is a movement system designed to better our everyday life and wellbeing. Our classes are designed around our key philosophy to encompass a full body workout suitable for all ages and abilities.
